When an incentive is configured, a motivational banner is shown at the top of the form before the customer submits — for example, 'Share your experience and get 15% off your next order'. Once the testimonial is successfully submitted, the reward is revealed: the actual discount code, download link, or instructions. This sequence ensures the reward is only seen by customers who have genuinely completed the testimonial.

Are incentives available on the free plan?

Yes, incentives are available on all plans including the free Starter plan — at no extra cost. There is no limit on the number of incentive redemptions.

How do unique discount codes work vs static codes?

With static codes, every customer who submits sees the same code (e.g., THANKS15). With unique codes, each submission generates a different code from a list you pre-load (or via your coupon system), preventing code sharing on public forums. Unique codes are ideal for high-value incentives or exclusive offers.

Can I require a testimonial before revealing the reward?

Yes — the reward is always revealed only after successful submission. Customers see the incentive banner before submitting (to motivate them), but the actual reward (code, download link, etc.) is only shown on the success screen after the form is submitted. This prevents customers from taking the reward without leaving a testimonial.

How do gift card incentives work?

When you configure a gift card incentive, SayWall notifies you by email whenever a customer claims it (and optionally via a webhook). You then fulfill the gift card manually and mark it as fulfilled in your dashboard. This approach works with any gift card provider — Amazon, Visa, store-specific, etc.

Will incentives affect the quality of testimonials I receive?

Incentivized testimonials are generally as authentic as organic ones — customers are still sharing their real experience. The incentive increases the number of responses, but the content quality stays high. You can filter by collection form in your dashboard to see which testimonials were incentivized and decide how to display them.
