How does video testimonial collection work?

On Pro plan, your collection form gains a 'Video' tab alongside the standard text tab. Customers can record a video testimonial directly in their browser — no app download required. After recording, they review and confirm the video before submitting. The video is uploaded to Mux for HLS adaptive bitrate streaming.

What is the teleprompter feature?

The teleprompter displays a scrolling script in the browser while the customer is recording. You configure the prompts in your form settings (e.g., 'Start by saying your name and title', 'Describe the problem you had before using our product'). This dramatically improves video quality and helps customers who feel unsure what to say.

What video quality options are available?

Forms support 720p (HD) and 1080p (Full HD) recording. The default is 720p for broad device compatibility. The recording uses the customer's webcam via the browser's MediaRecorder API — no additional software required. On mobile, the front or rear camera can be selected.

Can customers choose between video and text testimonials?

Yes. When video is enabled, the form shows two tabs: 'Text Testimonial' and 'Video Testimonial'. Customers choose the format they're most comfortable with. You can also disable the text tab to make video the only option, or disable video to use text only.

How long can video testimonials be?

The default maximum duration is 3 minutes, configurable from 30 seconds to 10 minutes per form. Shorter limits tend to produce more concise, higher-quality videos. For product demos or detailed case studies, longer limits give customers the space they need.

Is video testimonial collection available on the free plan?
